About the Symposium


MUDS 2010 will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of new and unusual concepts in maritime design. The symposium aims to bring together engineers, naval architects and designers from across Europe to share ideas and technical insight in a friendly and informal setting.

The focus of the event will be the presentation of individual case study designs which have some unconventional features, asessment of the key challenges arising from those features and discusssion of potential solutions.


MUDS 2010 will take place on the 8th of July 2010. Registration will commence at 1000.

Dates and Venue

MUDS will take place on the 8th of July 2010, in the Roberts Building of UCL's Bloomsbury Campus, in central London. [Map linked here; square C5]

UCL is very well served by public transport, with access via buses, trains and the Underground to all parts of London. Euston and Kings Cross St Pancras stations are within walking distance, and Paddington is a short tube ride away.
